Sushilsangakkar has made the most of his chances at the top level with a stunning series of results, scoring nine hundreds in 15 innings in the IPL so far.
Sangakkar, who was picked for India in the I-League, is currently leading India’s Twenty20 team with a strike rate of 8.25, while his team is also ranked second in the ODI side, behind Australia.
He has scored a century and three fifties in five matches so far, with his average of 5.30 is the best in the competition.
Sangakkar’s best score was at the end of last season, when he scored 17 off 10 balls in a match against New Zealand, in which he was the lone Indian to make a century.
He also helped India reach the World Twenty20 final in the same tournament.
Sagat was part of the Mumbai Indians side which won the IPCL title last year, and has also been a regular in the Indian team.
He made his first-class debut in 2012 and played in seven of India’s nine IPL matches.
